Coconut milk oil for beautiful and shiny hair



Ingredient :

Coconut - 1

Method:

1. Grate the coconut and squeeze out all the milk from it.

2. Filter the coconut milk using a strainer.

3. Take a pan and pour the coconut milk and stir it continuously for 5 mins. After 5 mins it will become a thick paste. Switch off the flame at this point.

4. Use all the paste or you can store the remaining in the fridge.

5. Apply this paste to your scalp and hair and give a nice massage.

6. Leave it for 1 hour and wash your hair.



Do this twice a week or at least once a week for best result.

You will definitely see the difference!

Chocolate sandwich



Ingredients:

100 gm dark chocolate ( chopped)
1 1/2 tbsp butter
8 bread slices
5 tbsp condensed milk
15-20 Almonds

Preparation:

1. Heat butter in a non stick pan and add half the dark chocolate. Stir till both melts. Add condensed milk and take the pan off the heat. Stir well. Toast almonds and slice them. 

2. Butter 4 bread slices. Spread the chocolate mixture on the remaining slices. Sprinkle some chocolate pieces almonds over these slices. Cover with the buttered slices.

3. Heat a sandwich toaster and grease both sides of it with some butter. Place the sandwich in the toaster and grill till both sides are golden. Cut into triangles and serve hot.

Choco-chip waffle




Ingredients

1. 1 3/4 cups of all purpose flour
2. 1 3/4 tsp baking powder
3. 1/8 tsp salt
4. 2 large eggs
5. 1 large egg white
6. 1 1/2 cups of milk ( room temperature )
7. 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
8. 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted + more for brushing the waffle maker
9. 1/4 cup sugar
10. 1 cup mini choco-chips

Preparation

* Preheat a waffle iron to medium- high. Whisk the flour, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. Separate the 2 eggs and put all the whites in a large bowl.

*  In a large liquid measuring cup or medium bowl, whisk the egg yolks, milk, vanilla and 1/4 cup melted butter.

* Whisk until batter is formed. Do not over mix the batter. Whip the egg whites with a hand held electric mixture or whisk.

* Fold a third of the egg white into the batter to lighten the base.

* Gently fold in the chocolate chips. Brush the inside of the waffle maker with butter.

* Pour in enough batter to fill the each hole. Close and cook until crisp and waffle iron stops streaming ( about 5 mins).

* Serve hot with maple syrup, honey or jam.

Coconut milk porridge ( thengai paal kanji, chettinad Special)



Ingredients:

Raw rice - 1 cup
Garlic pods - 20-25 pods
Fenugreek seeds- 3 teaspoons
Coconut milk - 1 1/2 cup of thick coconut milk or coconut milk taken from 1 full coconut.

Procedure:

Pressure cook the rice with fenugreek seeds, garlic, 4 cups of water and 1cup of coconut milk.Cook for 15 mins(4 to 5 whistles). As soon as you open the cooker add little salt, 1/2 coconut milk and 1/2 cup of hot water and smash the rice nicely using a ladle. This recipe doesn't need much salt.

Serve hot with papad or any vegetable fry.

Tip:

If your porridge consistency is thick, add desired amount of hot water to the porridge and mix well.

Home made henna mustard oil for hair growth, hair fall, damaged hair, scalp infection, etc.

- Mustard oil is extremely good for hair growth.

Ingredients:

1. Mustard seeds - 250 gm

2. Henna leaves(2-3 cups) or henna powder(250 gm)

3. Coconut Oil - 1 liter (or) coconut oil-500 ml, olive oil-250 ml, almond oil-250 ml

Preparation:

1. Add coconut oil in an iron wok.
2. Add 250 gm of mustard seeds to the hot oil .
3. Add Henna leaves (washed and dried) or henna powder ( make a paste and add it to the oil).After adding the henna, immediately lower the flame.
4. Let it boil for 40 -50 mins in low flame.
5. Using a clean and dry cotton cloth filter the oil and store it in an air tight container.

* When ever you apply this oil warm them and apply it in your scalp and hair.
